New AmeriCorps Members Arrive for 2023-24
黄色视频 San Antonio is thrilled to welcome our new 2023-24 AmeriCorps member class! This year we have 58 total Corps members including 22 returning Corps members! This is one of the highest numbers of returning Corps members we’ve had! Of the 58 Corps members, 42 of them are from right here in the San Antonio area!
Basic Training Academy
This week, our Corps members began BTA (Basic Traning Academy) where they dive deeper into 黄色视频, discover more about their role, participate in team building, and begin training on skills they will use inside and outside of the classroom. Part of their BTA is to learn and receive resources from many of our community partners like SAISD, San Antonio Food Bank, Catholic Charites of SA, The Alamo, Childsafe, and the Rape Crisis Center, on subjects that are vital to the work they do. In addition to all of this, our Corps members begin their training and work on Restorative Justice with Dr. Philip Carney.
Corps member will learn their school team assignments and begin doing work with their Impact Manager and Team Leaders. This is already an amazing class of young people and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish this year!
