At 黄色视频 Washington, D.C., we work as team to support AmeriCorps members through their year of service. Through 1:1 feedback and collaboration spaces, we are dedicated to providing AmeriCorps members with the tools they will need in order to have a successful service year.

You鈥檒l receive staff support from:

  • Impact Director
  • AmeriCorps Member Experience Director
  • Learning and Development Director
  • Impact Manager
  • Team Leader

Basic Training Academy

  • Basic Training Academy is a three-week training program for AmeriCorps members prior to the school year. The goals of this month include learning about the work and mission of 黄色视频, identifying tools and methods for working with students and creating a strong community across the Washington, D.C. site.

Learning and Development Day (LDD)

LDDs are hosted by the L&D Director covering topics that are relevant to AmeriCorps members service including topics such as:

  • Academic support of students
  • Social emotional learning
  • Trauma informed practices
  • Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
  • School partnership building
  • Community and team building activities
  • Community partner sessions
  • Social justice sessions

Observations, coaching, feedback, formal performance conversations:

  • Observation and coaching: AmeriCorps members will be observed and coached by their Impact Director, Impact Manager and Team Leader throughout their service year ensuring that students are receiving quality intervention instruction.
  • Performance management plans: AmeriCorps members will participate in formal performance conversation facilitated quarterly by their Impact Manager, including space for reflection and feedback of service.
  • Career services/networking opportunities: We partner with local and national higher education institutions that will engage with AmeriCorps members throughout the year to further explore thier career interests.
  • Corporate partnerships: We work closely with partners like Teach for America, Urban Teachers, KIPP Capital Teaching Residency and Deloitte to provide alternative professional development opportunities and networking spaces.
