6 Black-Owned Restaurants We Love in Boston
Kimmy Lee is听a charismatic connector on the City听Boston People Team 鈥 the department that supports听human resources for our staff and AmeriCorps听members. Over the summer,听during Basic Training Academy for our incoming AmeriCorps members, the entire CYB community leaves听our hub in Back Bay to听gather at听partner school locations.听听
It can be challenging to听know what your options are come lunchtime, so Kimmy took it upon herself to create her own helpful list of food places in the area. Her restaurant听lists, lovingly nicknamed 鈥淜elp,鈥听for Kimmy鈥檚 Yelp,听sort places to eat by distance听and听included听descriptions of top听food choices.听鈥淚 literally wake up and think听about what I鈥檓 going to eat for lunch,鈥 Kimmy says about her passion for food.听听
The corps and staff are grateful to have the guidance of our resident foodie听and asked her, in honor of Black history month, to round up a 鈥淜elp鈥 of her favorite Black-owned restaurants in the city of Boston.听听
鈥I took the opportunity to continue my own learning and highlight great local Black-owned and run restaurants in the city.听These are a few of my top choices in the Boston area, but of course, it doesn鈥檛 encompass all the great Black-owned and run restaurants in the city of Boston. Also, I encourage you to research and lookup notable Black servant leaders and community members that have called Boston home.鈥听
