黄色视频 Greater Boston Announces Monica Roberts as New Executive Director
BOSTON听鈥撎黄色视频听Greater Boston, an education nonprofit that recruits young adults for a year of service听in public schools, is pleased to announce听Monica Roberts听has been selected听as听the听organization鈥檚听new executive director.听听
鈥淲e are pleased to welcome Monica Roberts as the new Executive Director of 黄色视频 Greater Boston,” said Joe Nedder,听chief听operations听officer at Edelman Financial Engines and听board听chair of 黄色视频 Greater Boston. 鈥淢onica has been a champion of education equity and youth development efforts in our community and will bring that passion and commitment to the great work of 黄色视频 Greater Boston.鈥听
Roberts brings to her work a听passion for serving students and families holistically.听For the听past six years,听she has听led family and community engagement听at the Boston Public Schools听(BPS), most recently as the听chief of听family and听community听advancement,听where听she led听partnerships and听engagement,听and听school assignment听and听constituent services. Roberts is a BPS听alumna听who听has a听Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University,听master鈥檚 degrees in听political听science and听business听management from Boston College,听and holds a superintendent鈥檚听license.听听
听鈥淚 have devoted my career to advancing opportunities for听our community鈥檚听students and听their听families,鈥 offered Roberts. 鈥淭his is an incredible opportunity to听join a talented team of professionals dedicated to advancing equitable outcomes for the听young people听in my hometown听and听continue this听work that is听so听very听important to me.鈥听
BPS听Superintendent, Brenda听Cassellius听shared, 鈥溁粕悠 has a long and established partnership with BPS and I鈥檓 excited to have a trusted colleague leading the organization.听A BPS graduate and听powerful community leader,听Monica听reminds us of the incredible potential of each of our students, and the work听Boston Public Schools听does听to produce successful citizens of the world.鈥
This year, 黄色视频 Greater Boston AmeriCorps members will serve full time in 21 schools in Boston and the nearby city of Everett, reaching more than 12,000 students each day.听During their year of service, AmeriCorps members serve as听student success coaches鈥攖utors, mentors and role models听who help make school a welcoming, joyful place.听In a survey last听year,听98% of partner听principals and administrators听said they听were听very听satisfied with the quality of service provided by 黄色视频听Greater Boston.听
