The University of Michigan’s Marsal Family School of Education offers ��ɫ��Ƶ AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

25% tuition scholarships

All admitted ��ɫ��Ƶ applicants will be eligible for 25% tuition scholarships across Marsal Education’s eligible undergraduate and graduate programs (listed below).

Scholarships are awarded to ��ɫ��Ƶ AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and ��ɫ��Ƶ staff employed for at least two years.

The scholarships described above represent the minimum awards; applicants will be considered for additional need-based and merit-based aid and awards may affect each other.

• Enrollment deferral: Admitted students may defer enrollment by one year if they decide to stay with ��ɫ��Ƶ for additional time before starting their studies.

To identify your ��ɫ��Ƶ affiliation

��ɫ��Ƶ applicants should self-identify by selecting “Americorps – ��ɫ��Ƶ” when the question is asked on the application. You will be asked to share your dates of service, see information on the verification letter below.

To access the application fee waiver and apply for the scholarship

Undergraduate: If you are not eligible for fee waivers provided via the Common App, please email marsal.admissions@umich.edu prior to submitting your application and identify yourself as a ��ɫ��Ƶ applicant.

Graduate: Application fees will automatically be waived for graduate applicants who are U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.

To be considered for the scholarship, please request a ��ɫ��Ƶ service verification letter by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with “University of Michigan Marsal Education: ��ɫ��Ƶ verification letter request” in the subject line. Include the site where you served and dates of service in the email. This letter will be sent directly back to you. Email your letter to marsal.admissions@umich.edu with the subject line: ��ɫ��Ƶ Verification Letter.
