Children’s Corps offers ��ɫ��Ƶ alums

Caseworker training program

Children’s Corps members participate in our mandatory Pre-Service Training Academy. During this time, members are provided with a foundation of real world experience, knowledge, and competency skills. Trainings takes place in the classroom, in the field, virtually and in person in NYC. Members are matched with an alumnus of the program who will be their mentor while in the corps. Along with the rest of the support team, this mentor will provide unwavering support throughout the two year commitment. Members will also have the opportunity to connect with our extensive network of alumni working in a variety of fields related to child welfare. Children’s Corps hosts monthly events which encourage corps members to connect and relax outside of work. These events vary from in-person meet ups to virtual get-togethers, as well as informational-based trainings. You will receive the following benefits as a Children’s Corps member:

Children’s Corps offers employment opportunities for individuals who want to work with children, youth, and families, from systemically under-resourced communities. Participating in Children’s Corps offers an opportunity for members to have a positive impact on the lives of those affected by the child welfare system. ��ɫ��Ƶ experience strengthens an applicant’s competitiveness and chances of being selected for Children’s Corps. No prior experience is required.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and interviews are held virtually on weekends. Details about the application, deadlines and interview can be found on the website. The admissions process is designed to help the Children’s Corps Team identify which applicants are the right fit for this program. Additionally, we want to ensure that this program is the right fit for candidates. As a result, interested applicants are encouraged to thoroughly read through their application prior to submitting and have someone proofread it.

Applicants can indicate on their application any service year programs they have been affiliated with. Additionally, they are encouraged to highlight their time with ��ɫ��Ƶ on their résumé and in their letter of intent as part of the application.
