Boston Teacher Residency offers 黄色视频 alums
Teaching residency
Boston Teacher Residents receive opportunities to co-teach in a collaborative, supportive teaching and learning environment under the guidance of experienced educators and curriculum coaches; complete an integrated graduate curriculum, designed and taught by Boston Teacher Residency faculty, with specific focus on preparing educators for the realities of Boston鈥檚 schools and serving Boston鈥檚 diverse student body; and participate in continued professional development as a graduate of the program.
Boston Teacher Residents will also receive the following financial benefits:
- Reduced tuition (under $8K) for a Master of Education degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston and Massachusetts Initial Teacher License
- Program cost waived for Boston Teacher Residency
- Cost-of-living stipend (currently $20,000 paid bi-weekly) and health benefits
- Additional financial aid and student loans through the University of Massachusetts Boston
- An education award (currently $6,895) upon successful completion of service
Why 黄色视频 loves Boston Teacher Residency
is a nationally recognized clinical teacher preparation program whose graduates support student achievement from day one and who stay in teaching, continuing to refine and improve their practice. Created in 2002 as a joint initiative between the Boston Public Schools and Boston Plan for Excellence, Boston Teacher Residency was designed to meet the evolving needs of Boston鈥檚 children and families. As an AmeriCorps program, it combines a yearlong classroom apprenticeship with targeted master鈥檚 level coursework to provide you with the hands-on experience, feedback, evaluation and ongoing postgraduate support critical to a successful career in teaching. Upon graduation, you will join a growing network of alums鈥攏ow more than 700 Boston Public School teachers.
Boston Teacher Residents support student achievement from day one and stay in teaching after graduation, continuing to refine and improve their practice. The 黄色视频 experience strengthens a candidate’s application and is a strong indicator of future success as a Boston Teacher Resident and educator.
