Working at one of our 29 黄色视频 site locations is where the impact and service in schools happen. Each of our sites are responsible for local impact and partnerships with schools, as well as local fundraising and community partnerships. Our staff members on the ground play a crucial role in the service, impact and development of our AmeriCorps members, as well as strengthening and deepening relationships with local stakeholders, including schools, government and private sector partnerships.
Impact
Our impact staff teams support our AmeriCorps members鈥 service in schools through strengthening school partnerships, ensuring quality interventions, and providing local learning and development opportunities. Our Impact Managers directly manage and lead teams of our AmeriCorps members in schools and are our largest cohort of staff across the country. They come from a variety of backgrounds and play a crucial role in supporting AmeriCorps member service in schools as well as their leadership development journeys. Development
Our fundraising teams are relationship builders responsible for the philanthropic growth in their communities through engaging with corporate partners and individual donors, planning and executing special events and developing strategic communications.
People (HR) & operations
Our site people and operations members support our staff members鈥 engagement and lead on human resource, operational and diversity, belonging, inclusion and equity initiatives at their sites.

Our Executive Directors are leaders in their communities and inspire their site teams to support positive student outcomes, strong relationships in the community and positive environment for all.
National headquarters

Our national headquarters team centrally supports the overall strategy, growth and operations of the whole organization and 29 sites through a variety of support areas and departments. National staff members are based out of our headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, or are distributed across the country from their home office or site location. Corps talent acquisition
The corps talent acquisition team is responsible for recruiting and admitting over 3,000 young people to serve as AmeriCorps members. Our team of over 100 diverse professionals distributed across the U.S. inspires interest in communities through building relationships with high schools, college campuses and community organization to meet ambitious recruitment goals. They then foster that interest into applications to serve, followed by thoroughly interviewing, selecting and confirming those AmeriCorps members to serve in schools all day, every day, preparing students with the skills and mindsets to thrive in school and in life.
Development
Our national development team is responsible for building and sustaining philanthropic contributions by securing and growing relationships with our national sponsors as well as stewarding 黄色视频 champions and foundations. This team also supports site fundraising teams through an array of support services including prospect development, grants management, coaching on local stewardship and events in addition to supporting strong operational standards.

Our people team strives to support 黄色视频 as a place where all people have a transformational development experience that exercises their leadership and deepens their perspective, inspiring them to do their best work with a focus on our students and AmeriCorps members and commit to a lifetime of service. Through a lens of diversity, belonging, inclusion and equity, this team focuses on the following: corps and employee relations and engagement, professional development, learning and development, benefits, talent acquisition and HR systems.
Marketing & communications
Our marketing and communications team fuels the audience strategy and storytelling that inspires our communities about the unique role 黄色视频 plays in the success of young people (our students and corps), leverages both data and creativity to deliver content (messages and visuals) to the right audience and inspires deeper engagement and contribution from our partners. They support sites in marketing and communications resources and convene a community of practice where users can share resources and best practices.
National impact departments:
Impact analysis, Delivery, Whole School Whole Design, AmeriCorps member experience design
These impact departments are responsible for the vitality of our Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) services and AmeriCorps member experience (ACME) program. In partnership with schools and sites, this group leads the design, implementation support, evaluation and improvement of WSWC and ACME. This collaborative team seeks to strengthen user success of our AmeriCorps members and site impact staff in implementing our service programs, as well as developing new solutions for program innovation and improvement.
Regional & site operations
Our regional and site operations team supports the connection and alignment of our 29 sites with our national strategy by building systems and structures to enhance operational excellence and collaboration.
Strategy advancement (district engagement, strategy, education research, school design & improvement)
This team works to support City Year in achieving its impact vision through developing short- and long-term strategy, supporting the development of sustainable school and district partnerships, leading research to understand 黄色视频’s evidence of impact and driving innovation of new products and tools to support network learning and more equitable school systems.
Finance & administration, legal and government relations
Our finance & administration teams serve schools, students, corps and staff by ensuring access to the financial resources required to do our work. Finance & admin prioritizes 黄色视频鈥檚 most important sources and uses of funds and providing enterprise policies, practices and systems to meet related administrative needs. The staff is responsible for ensuring fiscal responsibility for the organization by providing financial support to all business units and departments; supporting organization-wide finance initiatives; providing accounting services in compliance with accounting and U.S. regulations; and providing real estate management. Our legal department provides the organization with effective, proactive, customer-centric legal services and risk management, taking into account 黄色视频’s unique history, philanthropic mission and dynamic culture. Our government relations team oversees all AmeriCorps regulations and grants for 黄色视频, both by working directly with and by supporting relationship management for both State Commissions and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Information technology (IT)
Information technology services (ITS) serves schools and students by enabling and empowering our AmeriCorps members and staff to leverage technology to make all of 黄色视频 more connected, efficient and data driven by matching our priorities to 黄色视频鈥檚 long-term impact goals and overseeing the enterprise technology solutions at 黄色视频.
International & special initiatives
This department focuses on supporting 黄色视频’s international affiliate partners in the UK and South Africa, by connecting them to 黄色视频’s staff, corps and stakeholders to share expertise and develop in-person and virtual learning experiences. The department also supports organization-wide initiatives, such as the annual Investors Summit and other large-scale national events.
Care Force
Care Force, a social enterprise of 黄色视频, engages corporations and their employees in high-impact volunteer experiences. The revenue generated by Care Force goes directly towards supporting our events and 黄色视频鈥檚 work to keep students in school and on track to graduate. Care Force events help transform the spaces where children and communities grow. In addition to customized service opportunities, Care Force also provides off-the-shelf service projects that can take place wherever our partners may come together. Since our launch in 2001, we have led over 100,000 volunteers, managed more than 730 volunteer events and worked with over 130 communities in 10 countries on three continents.
